Barbers and grooming in New York City.

Fresh cuts at home or in-shop, one flat $1 fee.

A good barber is hard to find and harder to book the exact day you need the chair. Bobby is being built to connect New Yorkers with barbers, every one vetted and background-checked before their first job, for fresh cuts, fades, line-ups, beard work, and grooming, at your apartment or in their shop, whichever you want. Real reviews, the price upfront, and a flat $1 fee. Barbers set their own rate and keep every dollar of it.

The math, both ways

A flat $1 fee, whichever side you are on.

Here is how a fresh cut at home works on Bobby, for the customer and for the barber. Drag the price to see it at any job size. Same flat fee, no percentage cut, ever.

$40

If you book it (customer)

Barber's price$40
Bobby fee+ $1
Card processingat cost
Price + Bobby fee$41

The barber keeps 100% of their price. Bobby's fee is a flat $1, never a percentage. Standard card processing is billed at cost, and your full total is shown before you confirm.

Example only, not a quote. Barbers set their own price; the flat $1 fee is what stays fixed.

What you get

Everything, one flat fee.

  • Barbers background-checked and vetted before their first job

  • Cuts, fades, line-ups, beard trims, hot-towel shaves

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Pick your style and place

Choose the cut or grooming you want, at home or in the shop, and see the price before you commit.

  2. Get matched with a barber

A barber nearby, background-checked before their first appointment, takes it. Read their reviews at launch before you choose.

  3. Pay securely, keep it simple

Pay by card in the app. The barber keeps 100% and Bobby takes a flat $1.

The $1 difference

Why New Yorkers are choosing Bobby.

Booking apps take 15 to 30 percent off the top. That’s real money out of a barber’s pocket on every single head. Bobby charges a flat $1 per booking instead. The barber keeps their full rate, you see the price before you sit down, and the person holding the clippers earns exactly what they charge. That’s the whole model, fair for New Yorkers and the barbers who keep them sharp.

Questions, answered

Barber & Grooming FAQ

How much will a cut cost on Bobby?
You pay the barber’s price plus a flat $1 booking fee, never a percentage, with standard card processing billed at cost and shown in your total before you confirm. The barber sets their own rate and keeps 100% of it. You see the full price before you book.
Can a barber come to my apartment?

Are Bobby’s barbers vetted?
Yes. Every barber on Bobby is identity-verified and background-checked before they can take a single appointment, with real two-way reviews so you know who’s coming and how they cut.
