How much does Bobby cost in NYC?
You pay your provider's price plus Bobby's flat $1 fee, and the provider keeps 100%. Standard card processing is billed at cost by Stripe and shown in your total before you confirm. Bobby's flat fee is the same for a $40 ride and a $400 contractor job, across all five boroughs — never a percentage. Food delivery is the only exception, at a flat $2 ($1 to the restaurant, $1 to the driver).
Does Bobby charge a percentage commission?
No. Where other apps take 15-30% of every job, Bobby never takes a percentage. The fee is a flat $1 per booking, no matter how big the price.
Who pays the $1 fee?
You do, the $1 sits on top of the service price. Your provider keeps their full rate, because Bobby takes nothing out of what they earn.
Are there subscriptions or hidden fees?
No membership, no surge, no percentage commission. Bobby's only platform fee is the flat $1 (or $2 for food delivery). Standard card processing is passed through at cost, and your full total is shown before you book, so nothing is buried.
How can Bobby run on just $1 a booking?
It is a deliberate high-volume model, not an introductory rate. Instead of taking a percentage from every job, Bobby charges one flat $1 per booking (a flat $2 on food delivery, split between the restaurant and the driver). Card processing is billed separately at cost by our payment provider, so the flat $1 stays Bobby's whole platform fee. A flat fee across a large number of bookings sustains the platform without ever skimming a provider's pay, and the $1 will not quietly turn into a percentage later.
