How much does ChowNow cost?
ChowNow is one of the commission-free answers to DoorDash and Grubhub, except it bills a monthly subscription rather than a per-order fee. Here is what it costs in 2026, taken from ChowNow's own site.
Pricing sourced July 2026 · Pre-launch comparison
In short
ChowNow charges restaurants a monthly subscription of about $249 to $449 (less on annual billing) for commission-free ordering on their own website and app, plus a setup fee, 2.95% + $0.29 processing, and a 7.5% diner support fee on ChowNow-app orders. Instead of a commission, it charges that flat monthly fee.
ChowNow vs a flat fee, side by side
| ChowNow | Bobby (pre-launch) | |
|---|---|---|
| Fee model | Monthly subscription (commission-free) | Flat fee per order (commission-free) |
| What the restaurant pays | $249 to $449 per month | Flat $2 per order |
| Commission on orders | None on direct orders | None |
| Best for | High direct-order volume on your own site | Pay-per-order with no fixed monthly cost |
A worked example
Take a restaurant doing 150 orders a month.
ChowNow: On a $349 monthly plan, ChowNow works out to about $2.33 per order for that volume (plus processing), and the subscription is due whether volume is high or low.
Bobby (being built): On the marketplace Bobby plans, the fee is a flat $2 per order with no subscription, so 150 orders is $300 and a slow month simply costs less.
ChowNow runs on a flat monthly subscription, roughly $249 to $449 depending on plan and billing, in return for commission-free online ordering on the restaurant's own site and app. There is also a setup fee, payment processing of 2.95 percent plus 29 cents, and a 7.5 percent diner "support local" fee on orders placed through the ChowNow app. For a busy restaurant, spreading one fixed monthly fee across a lot of orders can come in under a percentage commission.
Bobby shares the commission-free idea but charges per order rather than per month: a flat $2 per food order in a marketplace, no subscription. The trade-off is simple. A fixed monthly cost rewards high volume; a flat per-order cost means nothing is due in a slow month.
