# Bobby > Bobby is a New York City services and ride-hailing app built around one fair fee: providers keep 100% of their price, and Bobby's fee is a flat $1 per booking, never a percentage. Customers pay the provider's price, standard card processing at cost, and the $1 Bobby fee. Canonical site: https://bobby.app/ Last updated: 2026-07-20 ## Status (pre-launch) Bobby is pre-launch and is not yet operating. Bobby is preparing for launch and is finalizing all required regulatory registrations and licensing, including applicable approvals from the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). Services requiring regulatory authorization will not be offered or made available until all applicable licenses, permits, and registrations have been issued. Today the site is a waitlist only: no services are offered, booked, or provided yet, and every capability described below is planned for launch. ## Core Positioning Bobby is being built to help New Yorkers book everyday services from one account instead of jumping between many apps. The platform is designed around transparent pricing, vetted providers, secure payments, real-time tracking where relevant, in-app chat, and a flat-fee model that avoids percentage commissions. Primary market: New York City, all five boroughs. ## Main Services - Ride-hailing: upfront fare visibility, live ETA, trip tracking, scheduled or immediate rides. - Maid and cleaning: apartment, office, recurring, deep-clean, move-in, and move-out cleaning. - Babysitting: sitter discovery, availability, care notes, in-app communication. - Elderly care: companionship, check-ins, errands, and daily assistance. - Home improvement: repairs, installs, assembly, maintenance, quotes, and job details. - Landscaping: outdoor care, gardens, yards, seasonal cleanup, and property work. - Barber and grooming: cuts, grooming, home visits, and in-shop appointments. - Private chef: dinners, events, meal prep, menus, and dietary preferences. - Car rental: local vehicle rental with pickup coordination and app-managed details. - Food delivery: local restaurant delivery with a transparent flat $2 model split as $1 restaurant plus $1 driver. ## Pricing Bobby charges a flat $1 booking fee for most services, never a percentage commission. Providers set their own price and keep 100% of it. Customers also pay standard card processing, billed at cost by the payment provider (Stripe) and shown in the total before confirming. Food delivery is the exception at a flat $2 fee. ## For Customers Once Bobby launches, customers will be able to compare services, see upfront pricing, chat in-app, track jobs or rides where relevant, pay securely, and use one wallet/profile across multiple NYC services. For now, they can join the waitlist. ## For Providers At launch, drivers and service providers will be able to earn with Bobby, set their own prices, choose services, manage availability, and keep their service price, with Bobby's fee paid by the customer. Providers can join the waitlist now. ## Important URLs - [Home](https://bobby.app/): overview and waitlist signup. - [Pricing](https://bobby.app/pricing): the flat $1 fee model explained in full. - [Become a provider](https://bobby.app/become-a-provider): how drivers and service providers earn with Bobby. - [For business](https://bobby.app/for-business): teams and fleets. - [About](https://bobby.app/about): the company and leadership. - [Sitemap](https://bobby.app/sitemap): index of all pages. - [Guides](https://bobby.app/guides): pre-launch informational articles. - [Guide: NYC service pricing explained](https://bobby.app/guides/nyc-service-pricing-explained): flat fee vs percentage commission. - [Guide: how NYC TLC ride pricing works](https://bobby.app/guides/how-nyc-tlc-ride-pricing-works): metered fare basics. - [Guide: Bobby vs percentage-commission apps](https://bobby.app/guides/bobby-vs-percentage-commission-apps): side-by-side comparison. - [Compare: what NYC apps really cost](https://bobby.app/compare): fee models compared, with each company's published pricing. - [How much DoorDash charges restaurants](https://bobby.app/compare/doordash-fees): 15%-30% commission per order, sourced. - [How much Uber Eats charges restaurants](https://bobby.app/compare/uber-eats-fees): 20%-30% marketplace fee, sourced. - [How much Grubhub charges restaurants](https://bobby.app/compare/grubhub-fees): 15%-30% plus processing, sourced. - [How much TaskRabbit charges](https://bobby.app/compare/taskrabbit-fees): 15% service fee plus a trust fee, sourced. - [How much Thumbtack costs pros](https://bobby.app/compare/thumbtack-fees): pay-per-lead, shared across pros, sourced. - [How much Angi costs contractors](https://bobby.app/compare/angi-fees): membership plus per-lead charges, sourced. - [How much Turo takes from hosts](https://bobby.app/compare/turo-fees): hosts keep 60%-90% of the trip, sourced. - [How much Care.com costs families](https://bobby.app/compare/care-com-fees): $12.99-$38.99/mo membership, sourced. - [How much ChowNow costs restaurants](https://bobby.app/compare/chownow-fees): $249-$449/mo commission-free subscription, sourced. - [How much StyleSeat charges pros](https://bobby.app/compare/styleseat-fees): 30% new-client fee + $35/mo, sourced. - [How much Booksy costs](https://bobby.app/compare/booksy-fees): $29.99/mo + $20/mo per staff, sourced. - [How much Squire costs](https://bobby.app/compare/squire-fees): $30-$250/mo tiers + client fee, sourced. - [How much LawnStarter takes from pros](https://bobby.app/compare/lawnstarter-fees): up to 20% commission, sourced. - [How much GreenPal charges vendors](https://bobby.app/compare/greenpal-fees): 5% marketing fee, sourced. - [How much Sittercity costs](https://bobby.app/compare/sittercity-fees): $16-$42/mo membership, sourced. - [How much UrbanSitter costs](https://bobby.app/compare/urbansitter-fees): paid membership to contact sitters, sourced. - [How much Papa costs](https://bobby.app/compare/papa-fees): $30/hr companion care or free via some plans, sourced. - [How much CookUnity costs](https://bobby.app/compare/cookunity-fees): ~$10-$13/meal prepared-meal subscription, sourced. - [NYC cost guides](https://bobby.app/cost): what home & personal services really cost in NYC, sourced. - [House cleaning cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/house-cleaning-nyc): $120-$280 per visit, sourced. - [Handyman cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/handyman-nyc): $60-$110 per hour, sourced. - [Babysitter cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/babysitter-nyc): $23-$40 per hour, sourced. - [Senior care cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/senior-care-nyc): $25-$35 per hour, sourced. - [Lawn mowing cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/lawn-mowing-nyc): $65-$120 per visit, sourced. - [Haircut cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/haircut-nyc): $25-$90 men's cut, sourced. - [Private chef cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/private-chef-nyc): $90-$200 per person, sourced. - [Car rental cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/car-rental-nyc): ~$91/day traditional, peer-to-peer lower, sourced. - [Uber ride cost NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/uber-ride-nyc): ~$19 typical UberX ride, sourced. - [Food delivery commission NYC](https://bobby.app/cost/food-delivery-commission-nyc): 15-30% restaurant commission, sourced. - [Terms](https://bobby.app/legal/terms): terms of service. - [Privacy](https://bobby.app/legal/privacy): privacy policy. - [Cookies](https://bobby.app/legal/cookies): cookie policy. - [Provider agreement](https://bobby.app/legal/provider-agreement): provider terms. - [Accessibility](https://bobby.app/legal/accessibility): accessibility statement. - [Full AI context](https://bobby.app/llms-full.txt): the complete llms-full.txt document. ## Leadership - Ardi Shita, Founder & CEO - Patrik Krasniqi, CMO - Ardit Xhaferi, CTO - Endrit Saiti, CSIO ## Contact Bobby is pre-launch.
